With a population of over 217,000, Akron, Ohio is the 80th largest city in the US. The MSA area has a population of nearly 700,000. Akron was officially established in 1825. Akron lies adjacent to the Cuyahoga River. The Arkon-Canton Regional Airport serves the area. Local main highways include Interstate I-76, I-77, and I-277.
